Final Transcript Instructions
TRANSCRIPTS
· Seniors have informed Mr. Esker of their final transcript destination. They only need to let Mr. Esker know if there is any change in the destination before May 31st.
· Public universities in Louisiana will download final transcripts from STS (the state’s transcript system) in June. We do not send final transcripts to Louisiana public universities since they will download them from STS.
· Final transcripts will be sent from Mandeville High School once a graduation date is attached to the transcript. The graduation date on the final transcript is May 23, 2024, the original last day of school for the underclassmen (before the schedule adjustment). The transcripts will be sent either electronically or through US mail depending on the preference of the college.
· Dual enrollment transcripts must be sent by the student directly from the college or university that sponsored the course to the college of his/her choice. In order for that credit to follow the student to his/her college of choice, the student needs to request a transcript from the university that sponsored the dual enrollment course. Common APP
Seniors may use the Common App (www.commonapp.org) to use one application to apply to more than 1,000 schools. In our area, LSU, UNO, Tulane, Loyola, Xavier, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Mississippi State, and Millsaps all use the Common App.
There are hundreds more, including Auburn, Alabama, Spring Hill, South Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Arkansas, and College of Charleston. Applying through the Common App allows us to send records electronically, which eases the application process. When applying to a school, please check to see if they’re on the Common Application. It makes things a lot easier!
ACT
SENDING TEST SCORES & TRANSCRIPTS
Most student transcripts are sent electronically through Louisiana’s student transcript system (STS) for public universities in Louisiana. The Common Application is the next best option for electronic transcript submission. The last, and least effective, option is to e-mail the transcript to a specific e-mail address with the college. Please e-mail Mr. Esker if there are questions.
We do not send test scores (ACT). For the score to be official, it must be sent from ACT directly to the college or university. Many schools are test-optional for admissions, so make sure to see if submitting a score is necessary.
ACT has endorsed superscoring, which allows a student to use his or her best score from each of the four (4) sub-sections to create a “superscore” composite score. It’s up to each college or university to determine if they’ll accept a superscore. TOPS does not currently allow for a superscore to be used.
FAFSA
Completing the FAFSA or signing a waiver indicating that you will not complete a FAFSA is a graduation requirement for the class of 2025. The FAFSA for the class of 2025 will become available in December.
*Please make sure to complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA since that will be the first year of college for our seniors.

Graduation Night
All graduating seniors should arrive at Southeastern Louisiana University's University Center no later than 5:30 p.m. Roll call will be made by senior homeroom teachers in their assigned areas in the corridors. Graduation is the best-attended school function, and the graduates' behavior is a reflection on the entire school. Please refrain from laughing, talking, and chewing gum while the ceremony is taking place. Parents and guests should not bring noisemakers or any other distracting items to graduation. Please be respectful to the graduates and their families and allow their name to be heard. Campus security will confiscate noisemakers and possibly ask guests to leave. The procession begins promptly at 7 pm. Once the procession concludes, there is no admittance to the floor area. After recessional from the arena floor, graduates are to return immediately to the corridors to pick up diplomas from their homeroom teachers. All items (cap, gown, tassel, stoles, and honor cords) are the graduates' to keep!
